What amenities are available to BikePark users?

We provide hair dryers, electric irons & ironing boards and liquid soap in both change areas. Hair straighteners and fresh towels are available for hire on request. Each Term Member is provided with their own Aion Personal Sports Towel.  Vending machines will be installed to dispense bicycle parts, drinks, snacks and cold food. A cafe cart offers freshly brewed varieties of Lavazza coffee, hot chocolate and tea.

Filtered and UV treated water is available from water dispensers. Basic tools and foot pump are available from reception.

Will I have to queue for showers in the morning?

BikePark has 6 male showers and 5 female showers. The shower to member ratio has been determined so that there will be minimum queuing during peak times. We encourage our members to Save Victoria’s Precious Water by taking 4-minute showers. This allows 88 persons (48 men and 40 women) to shower in an hour. We anticipate that the peak period will occur over one and a half hours between 7AM to 8:30AM. We expect that over 130 persons will shower within this time. We believe BikePark users will work out the best time to use BikePark’s facilities to reduce their waiting time.

I would like to have breakfast at BikePark, can I do so and where can I wash my cutlery and crockery?

There are tables and chairs where you may wish to eat your breakfast. There are no dishwashers available for public use. However, if you speak to us, we may be able to arrange for you to use our staff kitchen to quickly wash and dry your personal items.

I am drenched, having cycled in the rain, will BikePark have a drying room where I can hang my wet clothes?

BikePark does not have a drying cupboard or drying room at this time. This is an amenity we may consider if there is sufficient request from members. You can hang your wet outer garments on the bike rack behind your bicycle. Your rain jacket will air dry as the vault is ventilated and heated.

Can I have a reserved bicycle rack that will always remain allocated to me?

All BikePark Members on a Term Membership will have a pre-assigned numbered personal locker and reserved bike rack. This allocation will not be changed while you keep your term agreement paid up and current.

Can I bring in my own clothes and press them at BikePark?

Yes, electric irons and ironing boards are provided at no charge in both change areas.

If I am a Casual User, can I have access to use the showers?

Yes, you will simply have to purchase a single-use shower option for $3.00. Your smart card will be activated to allow you to access the appropriate shower area. You will receive a clean fresh cotton towel. Liquid soap is provided in dispensers for showers and hand washing.

I have not brought any personal toiletries, can I purchase these from BikePark?

Liquid soap is provided in dispensers for showers and hand washing. We may have a limited selection of personal items such as shavers, tooth brushes, toothpaste, and mouth rinse, deodorant, etc. These may be purchased from reception.
